Dominic DeSantis, QPFC | Director, Defined Contribution Investments – Wirehouse East Hartford Funds
Dominic DeSantis is a director of defined contribution investments for Hartford Funds.
He partners with financial advisors to sell and market Hartford Funds investments to defined contribution retirement plans on the East Coast. Dominic is responsible for engaging and educating retirement specialist advisors and their clients about current and emerging opportunities in the retirement plan marketplace. These opportunities range from tactical strategies in areas such as retirement-income planning, investment-menu construction, and fiduciary responsibilities to anticipating and preparing for long-term demographic and lifestyle changes.
Dominic joined the organization in 2019. Prior to joining the company, he worked for John Hancock Retirement Plan Services as a sales director covering Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Before that, he worked for Business Intelligence Advisors as an institutional sales executive covering New England and New York. Dominic is a registered representative of Hartford Funds Distributors and is FINRA Series 7 and 63 registered, and holds his Life and Variable Insurance.
Originally from Ware, Massachusetts, Dominic attended the University of Massachusetts where he received a bachelor’s degree in communication. He currently lives in South Hadley, Massachusetts, with his wife, Naomi, and their children, Gianna and Anthony.
Ryan Sullivan, CFP, CLU, ChFC, Managing Director, Applied Insights
Ryan is a managing director of applied insights for Hartford Funds. He travels extensively and is responsible for engaging and educating financial advisors and their clients about current and emerging opportunities in the financial services marketplace. These range from areas such as retirement-income planning, investment planning, and charitable giving, to anticipating and preparing for long-term demographic and lifestyle changes. Ryan has been an invited speaker on a variety of financial topics nationwide and has had the good fortune to address groups in 46 states and Puerto Rico.
Ryan originally joined the organization in 1996 and held various roles of increasing responsibility, leaving the company in 2012 as a vice president of advanced markets. Prior to rejoining Hartford Funds, he founded a business to coach professionals on public speaking and the improvisational mindset, something he continues to do in a volunteer capacity today. He was then vice president and head of investor education for PIEtechSM, the creator of MoneyGuidePro®, a leading financial-planning software program for financial advisors.
Ryan is a registered representative of Hartford Funds Distributors and is FINRA Series 7and 63 registered. He holds his Life, Health, and Variable Products licenses and has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor® (CMFC®) designations. He’s also a Fellow of LOMA’s® Life Management Institute.
Originally from Hartford, Connecticut, Ryan attended Bucknell University where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, Katie.
Thomas Barrett Director, Applied Insights
Tom Barrett is part of the Applied Insights Team for Hartford Funds. In his current position,
Tom is responsible for engaging and educating both financial advisors and their clients about current and emerging opportunities in the financial-services marketplace. These opportunities range from tactical strategies in areas such as retirement-income planning, investment planning, and charitable planning, to anticipating and preparing for long-term demographic and lifestyle changes.
In October 2006, Tom joined the organization as a sales coordinator, and then became an internal advisor consultant before working on digital marketing and communications. He is a registered representative of Hartford Funds Distributors and is FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, and Life registered.
Originally from Wayne, Pennsylvania, Tom attended West Chester University. He currently lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Tom spent six years as the president of the Hartford Funds Public Speaking Club.
