About our Speakers:
Robert A. Holcomb, Vice President, Legislative and Regulatory Affairs
Bob Holcomb is Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for Empower. In his role, he oversees retirement policy efforts on behalf of Empower. He meets with policymakers to advance pension reform initiatives, interprets pension-related legislation and regulations, consults with clients and internal partners on legislative and regulatory issues, and provides ongoing communications on new developments. He represents Empower with trade and advocacy groups and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
Bob joined the organization in 1991 and has 32 years of experience in the retirement plan services industry, including positions in client management, operations, technical consulting, and sales support roles.
Bob is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.
John R. Russo, Regional Vice President
John Russo is a Regional Vice President for Empower. In his role, he oversees Regional Sales Directors in the northeast who partner with advisors, third-party administrators, registered investment advisers and other distribution sources to help them grow their retirement practices.
John joined the organization in 2004 and has also served as a Regional Sales Director in Connecticut and Rhode Island. He has 32 years of experience in the financial and retirement plan services industries.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Assumption College and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He currently maintains the FINRA Series 6 securities registration and the Series 63 state securities license and holds applicable life insurance licenses.
